SFLIC congratulates Todd Young

SFLIC congratulates Todd Young for special award.

M. Todd Young, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was honored by the Mississippi Funeral Supply & Sales Club (MFSSC) when named Sales Person of the Year 2022. The award was presented to Young during the Joint Convention 2023 of the Mississippi Funeral Directors Association and the Louisiana Funeral Directors Association held recently in Biloxi, Mississippi. The MFSSC is a professional organization of vendors and service providers to the funeral profession in Mississippi. Its mission aims to strengthen relationships between the funeral profession and the MFSSC members and bring higher visibility of member companies to Mississippi funeral directors.

Congratulations to Todd Young for this Award recognition of his dedication to serving the funeral profession and support to the MFSSC.  MFSSC President Chad Garner commented, “Todd is well known to be ready to lend a helping hand whenever it’s needed.” 

Young is a SFLIC Vice President and Arkansas State Director, Sales Development Division, and a 25-year licensed insurance agent. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and is a graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Dallas, Texas. Prior to his joining SFLIC, Young was employed for more than 20 years at Young’s Funeral Directors of Distinction in El Dorado, Arkansas and was also owner of a transport service. 

Young has earned several professional designations, including the Certified Crematory Operator (CCO) designation and the Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC) designation from the National Funeral Directors Association. He received the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) designation in 2014 from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, often considered the highest professional designation that can be achieved in funeral service. 

Young and his wife, Angela, have five children and four grandchildren. Todd and Angie enjoy four-wheeler outings when time permits and are music concert enthusiasts.
