SFLIC's Board of Directors is composed of professional funeral directors owning or representing leading regional funeral homes, and with leadership service in the state Funeral Directors Associations.
The Chairman of the Board of SFLIC is a past President of the National Funeral Directors Association and remains at the forefront of the funeral profession's national leadership.
Further, SFLIC relies on a strong Management Team of professionals within the life insurance industry. The Management Team of ten company officers is headed by a president and chief executive officer with approximately 40 years of experience within the industry and 35 within our Company. Each Management Team member averages approximately 20 years of service in the industry, and over 15 years as a part of the SFLIC Management Team.
SFLIC now employs approximately 50 home office employees dedicated to serving our affiliated funeral homes.
Over the years, SFLIC has expanded and conducts business in four states: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi (d/b/a Superior Funeral and Life Insurance Company in Mississippi).
Approximately 350 agents are licensed to write insurance business through SFLIC in approximately 200 funeral homes.
SFLIC is proud of the professional education development courses offered to its employees, agents, and affiliates to meet the continually changing demands of the industries and marketplace. Since 1999, the Company has been a nationally recognized leader
in the number of funeral directors, agents and SFLIC staff members earning the NFDA's Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC) designation. Additionally, a large number of the SFLIC staff hold internationally recognized
insurance industry professional designations
achieved through successfully completing insurance courses and examinations.
